SriJagannatha is Orissa’s rhythm of life. SriJagannath is the mainstay of social identity of the people of Orissa. Yet He is wrapped entirely in legends. Through legends only, He is being projected as Vishnu.
But, He is not Vishnu, Pattanayak says.
Legends are not the reality. Hence he has tried to find SriJagannatha beyond the legends.
