Subhas Chandra Pattanayak

 

Sri Subhas Chandra Pattanayak (b. 1944), a working journalist of four decades’ standing, remains conspicuous amongst members of his fraternity by his contributions to arts, culture, biosphere and literature of Orissa over and above his cogent interpretations of her unique history and heritage.

His innumerable in-depth bylines on administration, both in print and online media, are examples of how meticulously a peoples' conscience-keeper may act in discharging his duties to democracy.

Known for his incisive investigations, SCP is the Founder and Representative-in-Chief of orissamatters.com which is a milestone portal. As the first accredited online journalist of India, Pattanayak is currently editing Orissa Matters.

Known for having no compromise with ethics, he writes because to him, most important is the peoples' right to be informed. Over and above reporting on governance, he has contributed immensely to socio-scientific interpretation of Orissa's history and heritage as well as her literature and culture. He is a known sentinel of mass interest of Orissa.
