Publisher’s Note on “Dura Adura” -
This is a compilation of selected pieces of articles published in our flagship journal, Pratisruti. It's author, Shree Subhas Chandra Pattanayak, is a journalist of four decades standing and is the first accredited online journalist of India. He is unique in his interpretation of current events on the politico-economic and socio-cultural matrix and is regarded as a conscience-keeper of our people. His reports apart, Orissa's print media has been enriched by his columns under various captions, one of which, Akasmika Pratikriya (Random Reactions) has remained at the top of popularity amongst the readers of Pratisruti since its inception.
If correct depiction of present time is the only necessity for correct presentation of history of the land in future, publication of this compilation is perhaps the best step taken in this regard. Pratisruti proudly presents this compilation to its esteemed readers and to whosoever is interested in seeing the Time as it is. We have captioned this compilation as Dura Adura keeping in mind Shree Pattanayak's other column title, and specifically the range of subjects commented upon by him.
